Originally from the Fujian province of China, this hand-processed black tea is recognizable by its “gold” tipped fuzzy leaves. A light tobacco aroma with brown sugar-tasting notes, especially with a splash of milk added. A great tea for people who want to get into black tea but are hesitant about the astringency and bitterness that sometimes accompanies traditional black teas.
Steeping Suggestions:
Hot: 212°F Amount: 2 tsp. of tea. Steep: 3-4 minutes
Iced: Steep 1 oz of tea overnight (or 8-12 hours) in 1 liter of water.
High amount of caffeine.
